Name in the Frame Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What exactly does your company provide?
A: We offer a wide line of personalized prints accessible through the Internet. We are a service business giving you – a high service retailer – access to our images, and the ability to personalize, print and frame (if necessary) our images within seconds.

Q: What retail outlets are right for this product line?

A: High service gift retailers.  These personalized prints are fantastic, but they don't sell themselves.  The most successful retailers are those running mall carts or those going to shows, festivals, etc.  Certain in-line retailers like fan shops or gift shops can do well too, but only if you spiff your employees.  Simply putting prints on your floor won't do it - customers need to know what's available, they need to see the name on the image important to them (the preview) and they need to know they can get the product in just a few minutes.  This rules out a lot of retailers like big box stores.

Q: Should I print the images myself or have a print shop print them?
A: Print them yourself.  The Epson Stylus 1400 printer can print beautiful wide format color images and retails for around $200.

Q: Should I mat the print? Frame the print?
A: This is up to you and it depends on the type of customers you serve. Are you in a mall selling this the few days before Chistmas and a panicked customer is in line buying your prints?  Frame them - many customers will want the convenience of having the work done for them. Also, informed customers will know the value they get in buying a frame from you, saving them a trip and money. Some customers may want to match the frame to a decor, but you can still offer them added value with a mat. Or maybe your customer is walking around a festival or is a tourist and needs to transport the print in luggage. They may also opt for the lighter-weight matted piece. You have to know who your customer is and what their needs are.

Q: What are my costs?
A: There are two types of costs for the prints. File delivery cost and supplies cost. As a valued retailer and to protect this information from your customer, e-mail or call Dawn  or Jon to learn the specific costs.

FILE DELIVERY COSTS: Each file delivered to you is set at one price. You purchase "print credits".  These "print credits" never expire and can be used for any of the images in our system.

SUPPLY COSTS: These costs depend on a number of factors. Supplies include photo paper, ink, printers, mats, etc. Please visit the supplies tab for more information.

Q: What is your suggested retail price for the prints?
A: Here are some ranges of MSRP you may wish to follow, but exact pricing depends on retail location, venue and season.

11x14 Print in a 16x20 single mat - $39.95 to $49.95
11x14 Print in a 16x20 standard frame with a mat - $69.95 - $79.95

Q: Can I see examples of how to display the product?
A: Sure - click here

Q: Will you be adding new prints and do I have access to all of them?
A: Yes, constantly. We want you to make a lot of money and we know that the more gift problems you can solve for your customer with this product line, the better for all of us. As such, we endeavor to come up with a wide array of attractive personalized images that invoke passion, enthusiasm and excitement. We value our retailers input. Got a great idea? Let us know and may just be our next big seller.
